The Upper West Regional Police has arrested two suspects for armed robberies and other crimes.
According to the command, Abdulai Ibrahim and Kipo Ibrahim have been on the police’s wanted list.
A statement issues by the regional command, indicated that “The Upper West Regional Police Command on March 29, 2025, arrested two suspects, Abdulai Ibrahim (34) and Kipo Ibrahim (36), in connection with a series of motorbike theft and robberies in the Wa Metropolis. The suspects had been on the police wanted list for robbery and stealing of motorbikes in the Danko and Napogbakole areas of the Wa Metropolis.
The service further revealed that “A search conducted at their hideout led to the recovery of seven (7) motorbikes and three (3) number plates with registration numbers M-24-UW 4134, M-21-UW 6468, and M-20-UW 2846”
The suspects were put before the Wa District Magistrate court on Friday, April 4, 2025 and have been remanded into police custody to reappear before the court on Monday, April 28, 2025.
The Upper West Regional Police Command also expressed gratitude to the public for their support and cooperation in this matter.
