The Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region, Abdul Nasir Sani, popularly known as Chairman Bunas, has called on the people of Kpare in the Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI) Constituency to vote massively for the NDC in both the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
Speaking at a durbar of chiefs and residents as part of his campaign tour, Chairman Bunas emphasized that avoiding the practice where voters choose candidates from different parties for presidential and parliamentary positions would significantly boost the party’s chances of victory and ensure the community benefits from national resources.
Chairman Bunas’ delegation includes the Member of Parliament for the DBI Constituency, Dr. Sebastian Sandaare, former District Chief Executive Fedelis Zumakpee, former DCE Mikel Kombor, Constituency Chairman Boniface Tienaa, and Regional Youth Working Committee Member Mr. Ansofanga.
Chairman Bunas further highlighted key policies of the NDC’s manifesto, aimed at improving the livelihoods of communities like Kpare.
He stressed that a strong showing for both John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare would position the constituency for significant transformation under an NDC-led government rather than voting “skirt and blouse”
The Chief of Kpare, during his speech, raised concerns about the state of local infrastructure, particularly the deplorable condition of the Kojokperi to Gunuo road. He also appealed for new classroom blocks to replace the dilapidated school buildings in the community.
The requests were made directly to both the Regional Chairman and the MP, as they urged the NDC leadership to prioritize these projects if they are re-elected.
Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare expressed his joy at the warm reception from the people of Kpare, acknowledging their unwavering support since he first assumed office in 2012.
He reassured the gathering of his continued commitment to their welfare, pledging to address their development needs within the framework of the NDC’s broader vision.
