Prime Medi-Trust Pharmacy has opened its first 24/7 Airport Annex in Wa, marking a milestone as the region’s pioneer in round-the-clock pharmaceutical services.
The new branch, located in the Upper West regional capital, promises uninterrupted access to quality, affordable medications and expert advice—even late into the night—building on the success of the pharmacy’s main outlet in Kpaguri.
Unveiled on Saturday, February 14, the Airport Annex expands Prime Medi-Trust’s commitment to accessible healthcare amid growing demand. As the first pharmacy in Wa to operate 24/7, it addresses a critical gap for residents, travelers, and emergency needs.
The launch featured a series of social initiatives, underscoring the pharmacy’s community focus. In collaboration with partners, activities included free health screenings (with Torikuubu Health Charity Foundation), deworming programs (with Luex Pharmaceuticals), rapid testing, donations to the Bahass Foundation and Wa Prisons (in partnership with Ghana Tourism), and meals for over 150 people.Dr. Suburu Aziz, CEO of Prime Medi-Trust Pharmacy, declared the branch open to the public, emphasizing unwavering service standards. “We’re now fully operational and assure everyone of top-quality care around the clock—nothing will compromise that,” he said.
Dr. Aziz highlighted the partnerships: “Through your support and prayers, we donated to the Bahass Foundation and Wa Prisons, provided free health screenings, deworming, rapid tests, and fed over 150 people.”
The expansion signals Prime Medi-Trust’s growing footprint in Ghana’s healthcare landscape, prioritizing both convenience and social good.
