There was a resounding show of confidence as the District Assembly overwhelmingly endorsed the President’s nominee for District Chief Executive, Fuseini Adamu Gbene in Sissala West.
It was a unanimous decision at the Sissala West District Assembly Hall, where 30 out of 31 assembly members were present to cast their votes.
All 30 voted “Yes,” giving Honourable Fuseini Adamu Gbene a 100% endorsement to be sworn in as the District Chief Executive.
The electoral process, supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission and witnessed by traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and party executives, was smooth and transparent.
Sissala West becomes the fifth district in the region to confirm its DCE. So far, three districts, including Wa West and Wa Municipal, have given their nominees a 100% endorsement. However, not all confirmations have been smooth.
Wa East District remains the only district in the Upper West Region to have rejected its President’s nominee.
