The Member of Parliament for Nandom Constituency, Richard Kuuire, has donated food items and livestock to Muslim communities across the Nandom Municipality as preparations intensify toward the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha.
The donation, which was made on Monday, May 25, 2026, included seven 50kg bags of rice, fourteen one-litre bottles of cooking oil and one cow for distribution among Zongo tribal chiefs within the municipality.
In addition to the items presented to the Zongo chiefs, the MP also donated nine 50kg bags of rice to various mosques in Nandom, including the Central Mosque, Ahmadiyya Mosque and another mosque at Segru to support Muslims during the festive period.

The Member of Parliament further extended support to youth groups within the municipality as part of efforts to ensure wider community participation and assistance ahead of the celebration.
The donation exercise was carried out on behalf of the MP by the Municipal Chief Executive for Nandom, Anthony Ziniel, who was accompanied by the Deputy Secretary, Deputy Communication Officer and the Zongo Caucus Coordinator.
The gesture comes as Muslims across Ghana and around the world prepare to celebrate Eid al-Adha, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
The support is expected to assist beneficiaries in observing the celebration and strengthen ties between leadership and the Muslim community in the municipality.
