A middle aged man, name withheld has been arrested in connection with an alleged rape case involving a 17-year-old girl.
The suspect was handed over to the Nandom Police for investigation following a report by the Municipal Social Welfare Officer. The alleged incident is said to have occurred in February 2026 at a residence in Danko, a suburb of Nandom.
Information gathered during preliminary investigations indicates that the victim later exhibited signs of distress, prompting her mother to seek medical attention. A medical examination subsequently confirmed that the girl is 7weeks pregnant.
The suspect is in custody and will be arraigned before court.
