Alhaji Dr. Hudu Mogtari, founder of The Hudu Foundation, was formally recognized by the Wa Municipal Education Service Directorate for his sustained support of the “Best Brains” quiz competition that encourages excellence among basic‑school learners.
In a brief welcome address, Suleman Mujeeb, Public Relations Officer for the directorate, praised Dr. Mogtari’s role as the prime sponsor of the contest. “We are grateful to Dr. Mogtari for stepping in to support the Best Brains Contest,” Mr. Mujeeb said, noting the partnership between the directorate and Radio Progress in organizing the annual event.
The recognition ceremony, held at the Wa Municipal Education Directorate offices, brought together Dr. Mogtari and members of his team, frontline education staff, and a representative of Radio Progress.
Madam Christina Kuunyangna, Deputy Director for Education in charge of Human Resources, presented a citation to Dr. Mogtari in acknowledgement of his contributions to educational activities in the municipality.
Visibly pleased, Dr. Mogtari described the honor as a welcome affirmation of the foundation’s mission. He thanked the directorate and partners for their thoughtfulness and pledged continued support for the Best Brains Contest. “Investing in young learners is investing in our future,” he said, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to sustaining the annual competition.
The Best Brains Contest, organized by the Wa Municipal Education Directorate in collaboration with Radio Progress, brings together pupils from basic schools across the municipality to compete in quizzes that test knowledge, critical thinking and teamwork.
Organizers say the contest not only rewards academic achievement but also motivates schools and teachers to raise learning standards.
With sustained sponsorship from The Hudu Foundation, organizers say they hope to expand participation and increase resources for prize awards and preparatory materials for participating schools.
