The Nandom Municipal Education Directorate and other stakeholders welcome new pupils to various basic schools on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 tomato this year’s My First Day at School.
The Municipal Director of Education, Pascaline Ninfaakang and the Municipal Chief Executive of Nandom, Raymond Nero visited some schools for the commencement of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The schools visited were St Paul’s and St Cecilia’s Primary Schools where New entrants were given snacks.
Those promoted to class one were each given exercise books, pencils and sharpeners to aid learning.
The Municipal Director welcomed the teachers and pupils to the beginning of another academic year.
She admonished the teachers to be early in school and to take their job seriously.
In his speech, the Municipal Chief Executive encouraged learners to be regular in school and to take their lessons seriously.
He also encouraged teachers to be punctual to school and to see the pupils as their own.
“You’re doing a good job as teachers. We appreciate your patience and we’ll do the little we can to support your efforts.”
He encouraged teachers not to hesitate to reach out to the Education Director or himself in times of need.
The pupils were excited when they received the education materials and snacks.
Teachers thanked the officials for the visit and pledged to do their best for the pupils.
