The Bonongyiri community has achieved a significant milestone with its connection to the national grid, sparking joy and optimism among residents. For many, this marks the beginning of a new era of development and opportunity.

Issahaku Mariam, a resident of Bonongyiri, described the development as a “dream come true.” Sharing her excitement, she noted, “I’m overjoyed. Electricity will boost my local business and enable students to study at night, which will improve their academic performance.”

Hon. Nadi Imoro Sanda, the District Chief Executive, highlighted the transformative potential of the project in an exclusive interview with Upper West News. “Access to electricity is crucial for our community’s growth,” he stated. He further emphasized that the connection will enhance healthcare by enabling the storage of essential medicines, support students with nighttime studies, and unlock numerous business opportunities.

Mumuni Seidu, the Assembly Member for the area, expressed his gratitude for the electrification initiative. “This marks a new era for Bonongyiri,” he remarked. “Electricity will enhance our quality of life, support economic growth, and position our community for a brighter future.”

The successful connection of Bonongyiri to the national grid reflects the government’s commitment to expanding rural electrification. With access to electricity, the community is now better equipped to pursue its development goals, fostering hope and ambition among its residents.

As Bonongyiri embraces this new chapter, its potential for growth and prosperity appears boundless.
