Yendor-Naa Kafuule John, popularly known as Mboma, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa (DBI) Constituency.
Campaigning on the motto, “Innovative Leadership and Hope for the Youth,” the professional nurse says he is seeking the mandate of delegates to help strengthen youth mobilization, promote innovation, and deepen grassroots participation within the party.
John, a native of Daffiama-Owlo in the Upper West Region, is a Registered General Nurse currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Garden City University. He has served at St. Theresa’s Hospital in Nandom, Nandom Health Centre, and currently works at Brutu CHPS.
Beyond his professional career, he has built an extensive record of political and organizational leadership. Since 2022, he has served as a Co-opted Executive Member of the NDC in the DBI Constituency and has held various campaign and party roles, including polling agent, campaign coordinator, campaign manager, and zonal campaign team member in several internal and national elections.
John is also active in the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), where he serves as the Nandom Municipal Chairman and has represented the association at national conferences while occupying several leadership positions over the years.
His credentials also include recognition beyond politics. In 2025, he was named the DBI Best Youth Farmer during the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration. He was also honoured with a Presidential Honour for Distinguished Service in 2023.
With his campaign now underway, John is expected to engage delegates across the constituency, presenting his vision for empowering young people and strengthening the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the internal elections.
