The Member of Parliament for the Nandom Constituency in the Upper West Region, Richard Kuuire, has donated 24 bags of sugar to the Muslim community as part of this year’s Ramadan support.
The donation was presented on his behalf by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nandom, Anthony Ziniel, on Friday, February 22, 2026.
The MCE was accompanied by constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress, including the Constituency Chairman and other key party officials.
In distributing the items, five bags of sugar were presented to the Nandom Central Mosque, while two bags each were given to the Ahmadiyya Mosque and an Orthodox Mosque within the municipality.
Additionally, all seven tribal chiefs in the Zongo community received one bag each. Five youth camps were also supported with one bag each, while three bags were presented to assembly staff.
Presenting the items, Hon. Ziniel conveyed the MP’s goodwill message to the Muslim community, encouraging them to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for peace, unity, and development in the Nandom Constituency and the nation at large.
Receiving the donation, leaders of the Muslim community expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture and assured him of their prayers and continued support.
