Membership registration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commenced in some polling stations across the Nandom Constituency of the Upper West Region, though turnout remains low.
Yiri News gathered that at polling centres such as GNTC, Information Center and Pataal DA Primary, the exercise is currently ongoing, with fewer than 50 people recorded at each centre as of the time of this report.
The registration, which was originally scheduled to begin on Sunday, March 1, 2026, rather commenced on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Meanwhile, information available to Yiri News indicates that official registration documents for the exercise had not yet arrived in the region for onward distribution to the various constituencies at the time of filing this report.
In the absence of the official materials, some polling stations have improvised by using exercise books to record the details of members registering, pending the arrival of the approved registration documents.
Party officials say the temporary arrangement is to ensure that the exercise proceeds without further delay while awaiting the necessary logistics.
