One of the frontrunners for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairman position in Nadowli/Kaleo, Gyil Naa Blaise, and his team of aspiring executives have wrapped up a successful four-day familiarization tour across the constituency.
The tour, which ran from April 9 to 12, 2026, provided the team with direct face-to-face interactions with party delegates, including polling station executives and electoral area coordinators. It aimed to build grassroots support ahead of the upcoming NPP internal elections.
Gyil Naa Blaise, the current first vice chairman for the NPP in the constituency who’s the Assembly Member for Sankana Electoral Area, leads a team he describes as bringing “energy, experience, and integrity” to party leadership.
Key members include Hon. Edward Kankpi, a former assembly member renowned for his grassroots mobilization skills and aspiring secretary; Christian Dogoli, the youth organizer hopeful; and Dennis Salia, a popular show host at a Wa-based radio station.
In a heartfelt message, Hon. Kankpi expressed gratitude on behalf of Team Blaise.
‘I wish to express our profound gratitude for the warm reception you accorded us during our four-day familiarization tour, which started on 9th April and successfully ended today, 12/04/2026.
We are truly honored by the opportunity you gave us to share our vision and interact with you directly’. Parts of the statement read.
The statement further appreciates the dedication of grassroot members of the NPP in the Nadowli/Kaleo constituency. ‘Your commitment to the democratic process and your leadership at the grassroots level is deeply inspiring and appreciated. The insights we gathered from our visit are invaluable and will greatly inform our path moving forward.’ The statement concludes.
The NPPs internal reorganization in the Nadowli/Kaleo constituency seeks to get a formidable team at the polling station through to the constituency levels to combat the declining voter confidence of the party in the Constituency.
Several prominent party Members are also putting themselves up to lead the NPP in the Constituency notable are Joseph Dassah Kontomah, Hon. Felix Danaah and former chairman, Martin Andonye. The choice of the constituency executives would likely determine the future of the NPP in the constituency as the party has been receiving insignificant votes over the past 3 election cycles.
