Residents in parts of Kuselle in the Nandom Municipality are expected to experience relief from their water challenges following the drilling of a borehole by the Sangu Delle Foundation.
The newly drilled borehole, situated about 100 meters from the community CHPS compound, is expected to provide a reliable source of potable water for both residents and healthcare delivery at the facility.
For many residents, access to clean drinking water has been a persistent challenge, affecting daily activities and sanitation in the community.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Donatus Beyuo, a member of the community, expressed appreciation to the Foundation for the intervention.
“This borehole will go a long way to ease the water situation in the area. We are grateful for the support because water has been a major challenge for many people in the community,” he said.
Executive Director of the Sangu Delle Foundation, Mr. Francis Baghr, indicated that the project forms part of the Foundation’s commitment to improving the living conditions of vulnerable communities.
“Access to clean water is critical to health and community development. We believe this intervention will improve the wellbeing of residents,” he stated.
The Foundation undertakes interventions in health, education, entrepreneurship and other community development initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods across Ghana.
Residents have expressed hope that the borehole will not only improve access to safe drinking water but also enhance sanitation and healthcare services within the community.
