Dr. Cuthbert Baba Kuupiel, a seasoned development expert, has dedicated his life to promoting the welfare and development of Ghana, particularly in the Upper West Region.
With over 25 years of experience in managing various development projects and engagements, Dr. Kuupiel is poised to provide the needed leadership to unify and galvanize broad-based support for the implementation of the “Building The Ghana We Want Together” agenda.
Dr. Kuupiel’s extensive experience spans various sectors, including decentralization, local governance, project management, and institutional development. He has worked with numerous organizations, including the Freedom From Hunger, SEND Foundation, CARE, and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
As a former District Chief Executive for Nandom District in the Upper West Region, Dr. Kuupiel successfully developed and implemented the first-ever Medium Term Development Plan (2013 – 2017) for the Nandom District Assembly. He also championed the mainstreaming of gender and social protection in the implementation of LEAP and LIPW operations in over 40 communities in the district.
Dr. Kuupiel’s commitment to Ghana’s development is evident in his various roles and contributions to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party. He has served as Campaign Manager for Nandom – 2024 Elections, Member of the Upper West Regional Campaign Team, and Regional Director-Inter-Party & CSO Relations, among others.
