The Nandom Municipal Assembly has commissioned and handed over a newly completed 10-unit office complex with a conference hall to the Municipal Health Directorate and the Department of Agriculture to improve service delivery.
The facility, located at Danko behind the Assembly Block, was constructed and fully furnished through funding from the District Assemblies Common Fund–Responsive Factor Grant (DACF-RFG).
The commissioning and handover ceremony brought together officials from the Assembly, heads of departments, staff of the beneficiary institutions, and other stakeholders who witnessed what was described as a significant investment in public sector infrastructure.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive for Nandom, Hon. Anthony Ziniel, said the project forms part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to creating a conducive working environment for public servants and enhancing the quality of services delivered to residents.
According to him, the health and agriculture sectors remain critical to the development of the municipality, making it necessary for the Assembly to provide the infrastructure needed to support their operations.
“This facility is more than just a building. It is an investment in efficient service delivery, improved staff productivity, and the overall development of our municipality. We believe that when our departments are provided with the right working environment, they are better positioned to serve our people effectively,” he stated.
Hon. Ziniel further urged staff of both departments to take good care of the facility and ensure that it is maintained properly to serve future generations.
The Municipal Health Director, Madam Rukaya Wumnaya, expressed gratitude to the Nandom Municipal Assembly for providing the Directorate with a modern office facility. She noted that the new office complex would address several operational challenges and create a more conducive environment for staff to perform their duties.
She said the facility would improve coordination among staff, enhance stakeholder engagements, and support effective planning and implementation of health programmes across the municipality.
Madam Wumnaya assured the Assembly that the Health Directorate would make good use of the facility and continue working to improve healthcare delivery and public health outcomes for residents.
Officials from the Department of Agriculture also welcomed the project, describing it as a major boost to their efforts to support farmers, improve agricultural productivity, and promote food security within the municipality.
The newly commissioned complex comprises ten office units and a spacious conference hall designed to facilitate administrative work, meetings, training programmes, and stakeholder engagements. The facility has been fully furnished to provide a comfortable and professional working environment for staff.
