The incumbent Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Region, Hamid Mohammed Saana, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Regional Organizer.
In a post on his Meta page, Saana linked his ambition to the NPP’s National Council and National Executive Committee’s recently released timetable for party reorganization, spanning from polling stations to national executives. “When we rise in ranks, we shall rise in service too,” he stated. “Serving as Youth Organizer over the years, I believe I have jointly carved a great path to step our youth front greatly into the next phase of our reorganization. I need to step forward, making way for fresh new ideas while continuing the mission and helping to guide and guard it.” The statement added.
Saana believes he has creditably discharged his duties and deserves the opportunity to advance. “I have not only served leading the youth front but have also understood the grievances of our youth better,” he emphasized. “I can serve them now by helping carve decisions that guide their path. Hence, I seek to contest the position of Regional Organizer, which affords me the decision-making rights to make our youth front, Nasara Front, and women’s wing more formidable.” Excerpts of the post read.
The current Upper West Regional Organizer, Alhaji Alaska B. Kanton, is expected to contest for Regional Chairman. Meanwhile, the NPP’s Nadowli/Kaleo Constituency Organizer, Adama Amadu (popularly known as Adama Gbankor), is also eyeing the Regional Organizer role. Adama Gbankor aligns with Alhaji Alaska B. Kanton’s camp, while Hamid Mohammed Saana backs the current Regional Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Aziz (Alhaji White).
