A philanthropist and development professional, Mr. Eugene Yirbuor, has donated 200 boxes of Kivo Gari Mix to the Nandom Municipal Education Directorate to support basic schools across the municipality.
Each box contains 40 sachets, bringing the total donation to 8,000 sachets of the food product, valued at thousands of Ghana cedis.
According to Mr. Yirbuor, the gesture forms part of his Lenten observance and reflects his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and promoting education.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Directorate, the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Paschalene Ninfaakang, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the donor for the timely intervention.
She noted that the donation would significantly enhance teaching and learning by helping to improve pupils’ nutrition and concentration in school.
Madam Ninfaakang further indicated that the items would be distributed across all seven circuits within the municipality for onward allocation to basic schools.

In addition to the support provided to the Directorate, Mr. Yirbuor also donated 20 boxes of Kivo Gari Mix to the Zebra Orphanage in Nandom and another 20 boxes to Dambolteng Kindergarten, thereby extending assistance to vulnerable children and early learners.
The donations were presented on behalf of Mr. Yirbuor by Mr. Mohammed Abdulai, a development journalist and advocate based in Nandom.
Mr. Yirbuor is a Governance, Peacebuilding, and Conflict Management Development Consultant.
The initiative has been widely commended by education stakeholders, who describe it as a timely and impactful contribution to child welfare and educational support in the municipality.
