The Boyz and Girlz Movement in Jirapa staged a successful community health and recreation day over the weekend, drawing young people, community members and security personnel for activities that promoted healthy living, camaraderie and social cohesion.
Supported by the Anwelle Foundation and Zunuo Hospital, the event welcomed representatives from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service and Ghana Immigration Service.

Attendees took part in friendly competitions, including cards, ludo, draughts and a tug-of-peace, that fostered teamwork and spirited interaction across age groups.
Organizers also ran a community health screening that gave residents access to basic medical checks and health advice from Zunuo Hospital staff.
Food and refreshments were provided for all participants and guests, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere throughout the day.

Rain forced the cancellation of a scheduled football gala, but the downpour did little to dampen spirits. Participants praised the organizers and sponsors for creating a safe space for recreation and for raising health awareness in the municipality.
The partnership between the Anwelle Foundation and Zunuo Hospital highlighted the impact of how private sector institutions can collaborate in advancing community development, strengthening ties between citizens and security services, and improving access to preventive health services in Jirapa.
