The Chief Executive Officer of the Sangu Delle Foundation, Sangu Delle, has donated mathematical sets and pens to 850 candidates preparing for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Nandom Municipality.
The donation was made on Monday, 27th amd Tuesday, 28th April, 2026 and reached candidates across all seven educational circuits, comes ahead of the nationwide examination scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4, 2026.
In addition to the distribution of examination materials, the foundation has announced that the overall best-performing BECE candidate in the Nandom Municipality will receive a special award. The initiative is intended to promote academic excellence and healthy competition among candidates.
In the Nandom West Circuit, beneficiary schools included St Maria JHS, Kogle JHS, Dabagteng JHS, Betaglu JHS and Goziiri JHS.
The Genegenkpe Circuit benefited through Monyupele JHS, Gengenkpe JHS and Mary-Immaculate (Duotang) JHS.
At the Baseble Circuit, the items were distributed to Baseble JHS, Panyaan-Yirpele JHS, Tom JHS and Zendaagangn JHS.
In the Nandom North Circuit, Tantuo JHS, Bapula JHS, Kandemegangn JHS and Kokoligu JHS received the support.
The Puffien Circuit had five beneficiary schools: Nandomkpee JHS, Dondometeng JHS, Bu JHS, Puffien JHS and Ketuo JHS.
Seven schools in the Nandom South Circuit were covered, namely Zimuopare JHS, Ko “A” JHS, Ko “B” JHS, Guo JHS, Tokuu JHS, Tuopare JHS and Vapuo JHS.

Similarly, the Nandom East Circuit benefited through English & Arabic JHS, Danko JHS, Naa Imoru JHS, Girls Model JHS, Nabugangn JHS, Red Cross JHS and St. Andrew’s JHS.
In all, 35 junior high schools across the municipality were reached through the intervention.
Officials of the foundation indicated that the dual approach—providing essential examination materials and instituting an award for the best candidate—forms part of a broader strategy to both remove barriers to participation and incentivise high academic performance.
Some candidates expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the items would ease financial pressure on their families and boost their confidence ahead of the examination.
The BECE remains a critical milestone for junior high school students, as it determines placement into senior high schools across the country.
