Hon. Sebastian Bantae Daguah Esq., a constituency chairman aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Nadowli/Kaleo, has appealed to party members to uphold unity and due process as branch executive elections continue across the constituency.
In a statement issued to Yiri News, Daguah described himself as a “dye‑in‑the‑wool” NDC member and said he is closely monitoring the electoral process. “These elections constitute the foundation upon which the strength, unity and electoral fortunes of our party are built,” he said.
Daguah Esq commended members for largely adhering to the rules so far but urged that grievances be addressed through established procedures. He also called on the constituency elections committee to reject any form of discrimination or conduct that would undermine the rules and guidelines governing the polls.
The aspirant warned against attempts by individuals or groups to manipulate outcomes. “No individual or group should be allowed to circumvent the party constitution or the established procedures governing the elections,” his statement read. He added that appropriate action would be taken if due process is disregarded.
Yiri News understands there are reports in some branches of moves to alter branch executives without following due process — a development that may have prompted Daguah’s intervention.
Daguah’s message underscores a wider call within the NDC for transparent internal elections as the party prepares for upcoming national contests.
