Suleman Yahaya, an aspiring Regional Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Region, has called on party members to conduct clean, issue-focused campaigns and avoid actions that could cause division.
In a press statement shared with Yiri News, Suleman congratulated all members who were elected at polling-station and electoral-area levels, and wished those contesting constituency leadership positions well.
He urged aspirants and their supporters to respect party rules and regulations as the party moves into the campaign phase.
“As we move into the campaign phase, I respectfully urge all aspirants and their supporters to conduct campaigns that are peaceful, respectful and centered on issues,” Suleman said.
He also appealed to the party’s election managers to administer the process with impartiality and fidelity to the NPP Constitution and electoral guidelines. “I appeal to all stakeholders to ensure fairness, transparency and impartiality throughout the electoral process,” the statement emphasized.
A well-known youth activist in the Upper West Region, Suleman has been active in NPP youth organizing and has built strong connections in the regional showbiz community through years of engagement. Observers say his character, zeal and proven capacity for youth mobilization make him a strong contender for the regional youth organizer role.
Suleman faces two other contestants for the position: Dodoo Sadat, a former deputy regional youth organizer, and Insah Kelle Haki.
The NPP is scheduled to hold constituency elections later this month, a process that will pave the way for subsequent regional elections.
