Thirty women have benefitted from self-employment opportunities under the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) in the Wa East Constituency.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with craft persons and training providers, is aimed at equipping the beneficiaries with employable skills and enhancing their capacity to become self-reliant.
Some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw his effort in securing the opportunities for them.
They also commended the Upper West Regional Office of the National Apprenticeship Programme for life-transforming opportunity.
In attendance at the event were the Regional Director of NAP, Mr. Joseph Banye; the Constituency Secretary, Mr. Yakubu Jendaw; the Women’s Organizer, Madam Agnes Shaibu; and other party executives.

Beyond providing employment, the programme serves as a strategic investment in human capital development. Beneficiaries are expected to train additional apprentices, thereby creating a ripple effect of opportunities for many young men and women across the constituency.
Dr. Jasaw used the occasion to encourage the beneficiaries to expand their businesses and engage more youth, contributing to efforts to reduce unemployment in the district.
