The member of parliament for Sissala West Hon. Mohammed Adams Supkaru in collaboration with Health Democrats conducted a health screening for some selected communities within the constituency.
The team also donated some sanitary pads to women in these communities.
The beneficiary communities are Dasima and Tiiwi,
The health screening covered ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis B, kidney diseases, and eye infections among others.
After diagnosis, some patients were given medication while others with aggravated situations were referred to the district hospital for further treatment.
In Dasima, a total of 112 people benefitted from the screening exercise.
The team of health personnel also donated sanitary pads to the women in the community. The sanitary pads were given to some selected mothers and female students who could not afford them.
