The Member of Parliament for Lambussie Constituency, Hon. Dr. Titus Beyuo, has disbursed scholarships worth GHS 201,050 to 93 deserving students from his area. The initiative, channeled through the Beyuo Educational Scholarship Trust (BEST), aims to remove financial hurdles preventing talented youth from pursuing higher education in the predominantly agrarian constituency.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday 8th April, 2026 drew an ecstatic crowd of families, students, and community members who beamed with smiles and voiced profound gratitude. Many recipients struggled with fees and related costs, a common challenge in Lambussie where agriculture dominates and economic pressures often sideline academic dreams for the youth.
“I awarded scholarships totaling GHS 201,050 to 93 students within the constituency through the Beyuo Educational Scholarship Trust (BEST),” Dr. Beyuo announced on his Facebook page. “This significant financial intervention is aimed at alleviating the economic burden on families and ensuring that academic pursuits remain accessible to the constituency’s most promising young minds. By investing directly in these beneficiaries, I seek to foster an environment where financial constraints no longer hinder the pursuit of higher education.”

The event was graced by key dignitaries, including the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Lambussie, Hon. Ireneus N. Basingbie, and the District Director of Education, Mr. Bede Baminekang, underscoring broad support for the initiative.
Dr. Beyuo urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity. “It is my hope that these beneficiaries will prioritise their studies and uphold the highest standards of discipline, as they serve as worthy ambassadors for Lambussie in their respective institutions,” he added. “The growth of the constituency is closely tied to the educational attainment of its people, and I remain committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen our local intellectual capital.” Parts of his post indicated.
